Dubai, UAE – UAE fintech platform Botim has launched the Botim One Jaywan Prepaid Card, the first prepaid card issued by a UAE fintech under Jaywan, the country’s national card scheme. Jaywan is operated by Al Etihad Payments, a subsidiary of the Central Bank of the UAE.
The card can be used at point-of-sale terminals and for online purchases, with domestic transactions processed through the Jaywan network, which also includes a rewards and offers programme.
Built for the UAE workforce
Botim, which has more than 8.5 million users, has been accredited by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) to provide Wages Protection System (WPS) services. Employers can pay salaries digitally through Botim’s payroll solution, and employees can then use the card for everyday spending.

Rollout
The first phase will reach more than 200,000 workers through Botim’s corporate payroll relationships and partnerships with exchange houses, with the aim of extending the card to up to 4 million workers across the UAE. Around 65% of Botim’s fintech users are blue-collar workers and 31% work in grey-collar roles.
The launch supports the UAE’s Financial Infrastructure Transformation Programme, the National Digital Economy Strategy and the “We the UAE 2031” vision, bringing more workers into the formal digital financial system.
