Abu Dhabi, UAE – Automaker ROX has rolled out its first batch of 100 luxury SUVs manufactured in the UAE, marking a new milestone for the country’s automotive and advanced manufacturing sector. The vehicles, produced as individually numbered UAE Signature Edition models, carry the “Made in the Emirates” mark on their bodywork. The milestone was announced on Friday, 30 October 2026.
Built in six months
The SUVs were produced at ROX’s new AI Manufacturing Centre in Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD). The facility was set up in just six months and combines a manufacturing centre, an AI lab and a design studio under one roof. It will serve as the base for expanding the company’s production in the UAE.
Backed by national industrial strategy
The project was developed with the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) and the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), with support under the Make it in the Emirates initiative. It aligns with the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology, known as “Operation 300bn,” which aims to grow the industrial sector’s contribution to the UAE economy.
Officials from MoIAT and ADIO, including Hasan Jasem Al Nowais, Undersecretary of MoIAT, and Mohammad Ali Al Kamali, Chief Trade and Industry Officer at ADIO, marked the launch alongside ROX founder and CEO Jarvis.
Why it matters
Locally assembled vehicles bring automotive manufacturing, engineering and design jobs to the UAE and support local suppliers. For buyers, the numbered Signature Edition offers a collectible first run of UAE-made SUVs, while the KEZAD facility signals more models and higher volumes to come.
