What the companies said
Fatema Al Nuaimi, Chief Executive of ADNOC Gas, said global LNG demand continues to grow and ADNOC Gas is well placed to capture it, adding that the deal reflects the competitiveness of its supply and its ability to secure long-term partnerships. Stéphane Michel, President Gas, Renewables & Power at TotalEnergies, called it another milestone for the two companies and highlighted ADNOC Gas’s location between Europe and Asia.
Part of ADNOC’s wider LNG push
The agreement fits into ADNOC’s new global LNG marketing and trading platform, which combines LNG sales from ADNOC Gas and XRG with ADNOC Trading’s desk. ADNOC aims to market 47 million tonnes of LNG a year beyond 2030, and the Ruwais LNG project is expected to significantly increase ADNOC Gas’s production capacity once integrated.
