Sharjah, UAE – Motorists using the Dubai–Sharjah corridor should plan ahead, as overnight road closures linked to Etihad Rail construction remain in place every night until 15 November 2026.

- Hours: 1am to 5am daily
- Period: from 30 October until 15 November 2026
- Affected areas: Emirates Road (E611), Maleha Street/Road and the Sharjah Mosque area
Why the roads are closed
The works are part of the ongoing development of the Etihad Rail network. The closures have been scheduled during the quietest hours to limit disruption, and rail authorities have apologised for the inconvenience and thanked the public for their patience. Major roads connecting Mleiha Road and Sharjah Ring Road were also closed earlier for the same project.
Tips for drivers
No specific diversions have been published, so drivers travelling late at night should allow extra time, follow on-site signs and check navigation apps before setting off.
