Dubai, UAE – Thousands of riders filled Sheikh Zayed Road early on Sunday, 1 November 2026, for the seventh edition of Dubai Ride, presented by DP World. The mass cycling event marked the start of the 10th Dubai Fitness Challenge, which runs until 29 November.
Two routes for every level
- 12km route: for experienced cyclists, passing the Museum of the Future, the Dubai Water Canal and Burj Khalifa
- 4km family route: a gentler loop through Downtown Dubai for beginners and children
Last year’s Dubai Ride drew a record 40,327 cyclists, and crowds this year suggested a similar turnout. The 2026 edition also introduced the first Dress Your Ride competition, with a AED 10,000 prize pool for the most creatively decorated bikes.
The 30×30 challenge
The Dubai Fitness Challenge invites residents and visitors to complete at least 30 minutes of physical activity a day for 30 days. Free fitness villages, community workouts and classes run across the city throughout November, and the flagship Dubai Run on Sheikh Zayed Road is scheduled for Sunday, 22 November.
Road closures around the route were lifted later in the morning once the ride concluded.
