Al Dhafra, UAE โ Etihad Rail passenger stations in Zayed City and Liwa will open on 30 November 2026, one month earlier than originally planned, giving residents and visitors a rail link into the heart of the Al Dhafra Region.
Why the date moved forward
The earlier opening was directed by Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region, after he received an Etihad Rail delegation. The aim is for the stations to start service as Al Dhafra’s annual festival season gets under way, making it easier for visitors to reach the region’s events.
